Who could have imagined that I would ever run a marathon, or the London Marathon?
Yet, I did it! In 4 hours, 27 minutes and 43 seconds.
On the 23rd of April 2023, I successfully completed the London Marathon, all in support of the Cosmic Charity. This remarkable charity is dedicated to aiding tiny babies and children in need.
I proudly reached 95% of my fundraising goal, amassing an impressive £2,857 out of the £3,000 target. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to my 91 supporters who generously contributed to my Just Giving page, as well as to everyone who cheered me on along the course on that special day.
COSMIC Charity
This organisation plays a pivotal role in supporting children's intensive care, providing crucial assistance to critically ill children and their parents. By collaborating with the intensive care units at St Mary’s Hospital and Queen Charlotte’s Hospital, COSMIC helps patients and their families cope during difficult times. This involves not only facilitating the work of dedicated nurses and doctors but also going beyond the limits of NHS funding.
They acquire essential state-of-the-art equipment, offer training to healthcare professionals, finance groundbreaking research into life-threatening ailments, and provide families with invaluable one-on-one support, guidance, counselling, and even accommodations for parents.
